While sketching, this song started playing and ultimately influenced the direction of my work. I didn’t have a specific plan at first, but I knew I wanted to incorporate elements like smoke and clouds, which is why her hair was designed to resemble a cloud in the early sketches. The piece is inspired by Masego, one of my favorite artists, and his expression of longing to find his “mystery lady.”
